The San Juans, Telluride, Ouray and the Colorado Southwest
I've only recently discovered the beauty of the San Juans. Having spent only 2 nights in the northwestern corner of these beautiful mountains, I can already say I'll be returning for autumn colorso this year if I get the chance. The San Juans feature the famous towns of Telluride, Ouray, Ridgway, Creede, Lake City and Silverton amongst a host of beautiful fourteeners. It is also a hot-spot for some of the most gorgeous autumn colors in the state. The area around Dallas Divide at the base of Mt Sneffels (probably the most beautiful mountain the state in my humble opinion) is stunning. All of my photography from this region so far is from Dallas Divide and the area near Ouray.
