The Jungfrau-Aletsch area is a mountainous region within the boundaries of the cantons of Bern and Valais in Switzerland. Includes the entire region of the Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site in Switzerland. With nine peaks towering over 4000 meters in height, many famous mountains call this region home including the Jungfrau, Monch and Eiger. The famous mountain resort towns of Wengen, Murren, Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen sit within it's borders, as does the mighty Aletsch Glacier (the Aletschgletscher). With massive waterfalls, glaciers, traditional Swiss culture and gorgeous scenery everywhere, the Jungfrau-Aletsch region is one of the most stunning mountainious areas in the world.
