Why Request a Free Mockup?
By working with me to create a mockup of your space, you can take the guesswork out of buying fine art prints. It will give you a personalized visual of your space, allowing you to:
- See how a specific photo will complement your space.
- Compare different sizes for a proper sense of scale.
- Explore possible framing options to see if you like your art with an elegant framing option or to go more modern without a frame.
- Preview a single image or multi-piece arrangements.
- Make a confident decision on your art investment.
Whether you are design a living room, bedroom, entry-way, office or commercial space, a mockup will ensure the artwork feels like a balanced and intentional perfect fit for you wall.
Use a quick snapshot of your space — like this — and I’ll create a custom mockup showing how the artwork will look on your wall. This example features my “Bear Lake Beauty” photograph displayed above the fireplace.
How My Free Mockup Process Works
1. Send Me a Photo of Your Space
Take a quick photo of the wall where you're considering the artwork. You can text or email it to me. Whatever is easiest for you. Most collectors simply snap a picture with their phone and send it over.
2. Provide a Reference Measurement
To scale artwork correctly, I'll need at least one measurement visible within the picture. This can be the width of a couch, the length of your bed or headboard, the width of a table or even simply the width and height of your wall. Alternatively, you can even hold out a simple tape measure and give me the length of it in the picture. Anything works as long as I have at least one dimension of something fully visible in the space.
3. Tell Me Which Photograph(s) You're Considering
Let me know the images you'd like to see mocked up. It's helpful to get the title of the photographs (or URLs to photos in my galleries), the size(s) you are considering, any optional framing preferences and whether the print medium(s) you are considering such as HD acrylic, metal, etc. If you are struggling to decide some of these, that is also ok. I am also happy to make recommendations based on your decor and the feel of the space once I have your mockup space.
4. I Create Your Custom Mockups
Once I have your picture, I'll digitally place the artwork to scale into your space. Mockups may be a single image if you already have an idea of what you want it to look like. Or, they may include multiple size variations, differences between framed and unframed or several different images you've chosen for the space.
5. Review, Refine and Select the Perfect Piece
Once I give you the mockup(s) and you decide on what you want to go with, I can help you finalize any sizing, framing and other details you may still have questions on. When you are ready to purchase, you can do it securely through my website or directly through me via invoice!

Tips for Taking the Best Room Photo
I don't need a professional photo to mock up your space! Just a quick cell phone shot will work great. However, here are a few tips that help me with the mockup:
- Stand directly facing the wall you want to have mocked up.
- Try to include surrounding furniture and room items for context.
- Take the photo in daytime light if possible.
- Avoid taking a photo at extreme angles or wide-angle distortion. The more straight on you can take the photo, the easier it will be to mockup.
- Make sure your reference measurement (couch, bed, entire wall, etc.) is visible.
If the room is still under construction or in the middle of a remodeling, a bare wall photo is perfectly okay too.
