Choosing the right size and presentation is often the hardest part of collecting art. A photograph that looks beautiful on a screen can feel completely different once it’s on the wall.
The examples below are designed to help you visualize how different sizes and styles of artwork may look in real spaces. These are digital mockups created for inspiration and scale reference. If you’d like to see one of my photographs placed in your own room, I’m always happy to create a custom mockup.

Choosing the Right Size
When it comes to wall art, size matters more than most people expect. A piece that is too small can feel lost on the wall, while a properly sized piece becomes a natural focal point in the room.
As a very basic and general guide:
- Small pieces (16–24 inches wide): Great for shelves, small walls, or gallery groupings.
- Medium pieces (30–40 inches wide): Ideal for bedrooms, home offices, or accent walls.
- Large pieces (48 inches and wider): Best for living rooms, entryways, and major feature walls.
If you’re unsure what size will work best, I’m always happy to offer suggestions or create a scaled mockup.

Statement Pieces vs. Gallery Walls
Statement Piece
A single, large photograph that anchors the room and becomes the visual focal point. This approach works especially well in living rooms, above sofas, dining rooms, entryways and in offices.
Gallery Walls
A collection of smaller prints arranged together. This creates a more layered, personal feel and works well in hallways, staircases, bedrooms and home offices.
