Image Story

Talk about perfect timing! This little deer fawn stops to look around right in the middle of the path under this amazing canopy of cypress trees at Point Reyes National Seashore along the coast of California north of San Francisco. I had to act very quickly to capture this scene. I had been shooting to the right of the image when I looked over and saw this. I quickly, though quietly setup my tripod and caught this little fawn standing in the middle of the canopy of sunlit cypress trees. The mother had just walked through and exited to the right, but thankfully the fawn stood still long enough to allow me to capture this.
