Sunrise Over the Canals of Annecy’s Old Town
I photographed this in early morning light to showcase the pastel buildings lining one of the canals in the old town of Annecy, France just as warm light started to show from sunrise. This helped the calm water reflect the soft colors of the architecture as the city slowly began to wake up for the day.
Annecy is located in the foothills of the French Alps, south of Geneva. It is often nicknamed the “Venice of the Alps”. As you can see, its network of canals winds through the historic center mixing the atmosphere of Venice with the beauty of the French Alps. Bridges and cafes with flower-lined balconies sit just above the water and make for one of the most charming scenes in Europe.
When I arrived on the morning I photographed this, I was hoping the wind would stay calm enough for reflections in the canal. Thankfully, that was the case as the first light reached the buildings and the water became a mirror. The warm colors reflected perfectly in the canal below and a quiet atmosphere made Annecy such a special place to photograph early in the morning.

Signature Series Chromaluxe Metal Prints (Ready to Hang)
Using a method called dye sublimation, Chromaluxe is my choice for metal prints. Chromaluxe metal prints are created by taking an archival fine art print and infusing it into an aluminum sheet, creating a much more durable and visually stunning product than printing directly to aluminum like other metal print methods. Surprisingly light-weight, Chromaluxe metal prints are resistant to scratching while having that shiny, high gloss look that makes an image pop! Larson Juhl and box framed Chromaluxe metal prints are available upon request.
Signature Series Frames (Ready to Hang)
While all of my mounted print styles come ready to hang without the need of an external frame, sometimes collectors want that extra touch of elegance. For that reason, I offer ROMA frames on all of my acrylic, metal and canvas prints. Plaque mount prints can also be framed with Larson Juhl frames. Standard styles include the Tabacchino line, but other ROMA lines are available on request.
