Photographic Story

I've made it a sort of habit to try to find as many of the Kansas waterfalls as possible this summer. With rains making the rivers and lakes overflow for the first time in years, it's been the perfect time to check these waterfalls out! This was my first time to visit Cowley State Fishing Lake's waterfall, and I was certainly impressed! While it doesn't look quite as high as the one at Geary State Fishing Lake, I think it might be a little bit prettier and photogenic due to easier locations to shoot from. As it was getting dark, and my fiancee wasn't dressed to hike down to the base of the falls, I made due with shots from the top with the thought of coming back to visit when the trees turn to their fall colors and shoot a little more extensively. At this point, nobody can say Kansas doesn't have some pretty waterfalls because I've already seen a few gems!
