About the Photo: Spray
Water cascades down at Seljalandsfoss. Being one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland, Seljalandsfoss can get pretty crowded quickly. Visiting in the early evening, in hopes of getting a rainbow with the sun behind me, I decided to do something a little different. I used my telephoto lens to isolate the water as it fell from above, going with a slightly faster shutter speed to still blur the water a little, but still give it some definition. That famous Icelandic wind was roaring that afternoon and it was sending the spray back and forth, allowing me to capture the full width of the rainbow as well. By cropping in like this, I avoided any people in my image and was able to create something a little more unique for this often photographed waterfall in Iceland.
