Teter Rock, Flint Hills, Kansas
Photographic Story
A glorious sunrise paints an impressive scene near Teter Rock in the Flint Hills of Kansas. On the morning I shot this, I sent my drone out to capture some sunrise footage of the Flint Hills, with the hope that a few of the horses might be around. I found a group of five horses that were slowly making their way up the hill. I photographed them, and then took a look at the rest of the scene. Dozens more were coming up the hill. By the time I shot this, at least 80 horses were having a morning gathering. With the intense sunlight behind the horses, and the little bit of dirt they were kicking up, it made for this magical scene you see before you.

Open Edition Print Styles
I offer a number of print styles for my open edition fine art nature photography prints. Below are the different styles you can choose from as you consider your art purchase. All formats with the exception of Fuji Crystal Archive come ready to hang as is without any need for framing. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have regarding these print styles.

Plaque Mount Prints (Ready to Hang)
My best selling open edition medium is the plaque mount print. These come ready to hang so you do not need framing, though some framing is available for an extra cost if interested. Sometimes called wood mount, color plaque or color box prints, plaque mount prints are first printed onto an archival paper then laminated for a washable and UV protected surface. The print is then mounted to 3/8" wood, which is beveled and finished with a black color.

Loose Fine Art Prints (Ready to Frame)
Loose fine art prints are the only medium I offer that requires some sort of framing to be ready to hang. I only use archival printer paper for my open edition fine art prints. The default is luster paper, but metalic, satin and glossy are also available upon request.
