About the Photo: Top of the Wave
One of my favorite things to do at the ocean is watch winter waves crashing in to the beaches. It can be mesmerizing watching the wave, wondering what form the next one is going to take. However, I also wondered what it would look like from a unique angle above. So I sent my drone into the air and photograph a number of waves with a top down view. It is not always as easy as it sounds. Waves form at different spots and come in at different angles, which means spend some time waiting for a good composition to work with. This one was taken in the morning at Tunnels Beach. It was caught right at the moment where parts of the wave were just crashing into the water below, showing the rolling motion from the top. The water color here is so vibrant and colorful, and with the sun hitting it just right, adds even more saturation to the colors.
