Workshop Formats: Multiple Styles of Learning Photography

Every photographer learns differently, and every landscape demands a unique approach. To accommodate different schedules, budgets, and learning styles, workshops will be offered in three distinct formats:

1. Classic Multi-Day Group Workshops

  • Duration: 2 to 7 days (typically weekends or full weeks)
  • The Experience: Immersive, multi-day journeys into iconic landscapes during peak seasons. These small-group workshops focus on chasing golden hour, blue hour, and the night sky, combined with mid-day image reviews and post-processing sessions.
  • Best For: Photographers looking for a deep-dive travel experience alongside a community of like-minded creatives.

2. Mini-Workshops & Overnight Escapes

  • Duration: Single-day or overnight (approx. 12–18 hours)
  • The Experience: Perfect for locals or those with busy schedules. We focus intensely on a single sunset, night sky/astrophotography session, and the following sunrise, wrapped up with a short, focused post-processing class.
  • Best For: Photographers wanting to sharpen specific skills or capture a specific regional event without a massive time commitment.

3. Private 1-on-1 & 1-on-2 Mentorship

  • Duration: Customized to your needs
  • The Experience: Entirely tailored to your skill level, goals, and pace. Whether you want to master high-end panoramic stitching, learn the nuances of composition, or get private guiding in a bucket-list location, this is the ultimate personalized learning experience.
  • Best For: Photographers who want accelerated, highly focused instruction.

Frequently Asked Questions About France Photography Prints

What skill level is required for these workshops?

My workshops are open to photographers of all skill levels, from ambitious beginners to seasoned professionals. Because group sizes are kept strictly limited, you will receive plenty of individualized, hands-on attention in the field to match your current experience level.

What camera gear do I need to bring?

At a minimum, you will need a camera (DSLR or Mirrorless) that allows for manual exposure control, a sturdy tripod, and a selection of lenses (ranging from wide-angle for grand landscapes to telephoto for compression and details). A full packing and gear list will be provided well in advance of every scheduled workshop.

Are physical fitness requirements involved?

Physical demands vary by location. Some workshops involve little more than short walks from the vehicle, while others may require moderate hiking over uneven terrain. Every workshop description will clearly outline the expected physical difficulty level so you can choose the experience that best fits your comfort level.

Will there be classroom or editing instruction?

Yes. Most multi-day and overnight workshops include a dedicated post-processing session where we walk through Lightroom and Photoshop workflows, showing you how to bring out the absolute best in the RAW files you captured during the trip.
