Spouting Horn

Spouting Horn

Spouting Horn, Kauai, Hawaii

During large swells, sea water channels itself into the lava tubes under the rocks and spouts out in huge bursts of spray. This area is called Spouting Horn, and is one of Kauai's most visited spots. The blowhole also emits a weird hissing or roaring sound that is part of Hawaiian legends.
