About the Photo
The Crystal Mill was built in 1892 and used as a wooden powerhouse on the Crystal River. It takes a 4x4 vehicle or a long hike to get up to it. Autumn colors at the Crystal Mill is a special time. It is such an iconic place at any time of the year. But when you visit in the fall, it becomes even more special! This was shot as the trees were mostly turned. There was still a hint of green, but gold had mostly settled in. It is a true Colorado icon!
